Meet Adaline Griffin : From a doorstep in China to Times Square

The Story of Adaline Griffin and Her Company

Adaline Griffin’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, hard work, and creativity. Born and abandoned in China at just one day old, Adaline spent the first eight months of her life in an orphanage before being adopted by a loving family in North Carolina. Growing up on a farm alongside her older sibling and two parents, Adaline was given the freedom to explore her creative side, eventually leading her back to her true passions of art and fashion. At just sixteen years old, Adaline founded her own company, Adaline and Company, which houses AG Designs, AG Academy of Modeling, and AG Social Media Marketing. Through her business, Adaline aims to push the boundaries of sustainable fashion while making a positive impact on her community. But Adaline’s achievements go far beyond her success as a business owner. With a 4.71 GPA and membership in the National Honors Society, Adaline is also a dedicated student who will attend North Carolina State University in the fall to study Fashion Design and Business Entrepreneurship.

And just recently, she was awarded the Centennial Scholarship, the highest Textile scholarship at the university, further cementing her place as a future leader in the industry. But Adaline’s biggest dream is still to come: showcasing her eighth line, the “Van Gogh Collection,” on Runway 7’s New York Fashion Week in September 2023.

With the help of her mentor, Rita Miles, and the support of her community, Adaline is working hard to raise $10,000 to cover designer fees and travel costs. This is a huge opportunity for any designer, but especially for a young entrepreneur like Adaline. From a doorstep in China to the bright lights of Times Square, Adaline’s journey is an inspiration to us all. She reminds us to be bold, work hard, and serve others, no matter where we come from or what obstacles we face. If you would like to support Adaline and her dreams, please consider donating to her GoFundMe page.
