HBCU All-Stars Game Announces The Top 24 HBCU Basketball Players To Play In Historic All-Star Game At Texas Southern University!
Glory is spelled HBCU now that 24 HBCU All-Stars players have been declared competitors at the groundbreaking all-star game in Texas. At the Texas Southern University H&PE Arena, two teams composed of 12 ball players each will face off! Both teams have recognizable monikers, one under the name Team Willis Reed and the other Team Dick Barnett.
The epic showdown will take place on April 2nd at 3PM CST. It can be streamed on digital platform Paramount+ or watched live on the CBS TV network.
The HBCU All-Stars LLC put the event together in order to showcase the “Best in Black College Basketball.”
HBCU All-Stars LLC is an Atlanta based company that has made it its lead goal to provide assistance, education, and mentorship to students and coaches at many Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Front runners on Team Willis Reed have competed in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Meanwhile, champions on Team Dick Barnett have made impressions in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
In an act of respect for those who have consistently poured their blood, sweat, and tears into the game, the LLC will also distribute honors. First will be Joe Bryant Jr. from Norfolk State University as the Bob Love NCAA Division I National Player of the Year. They will follow the tribute up with Robert Osborne from Virginia Union University for the Bob Dandridge Division II National Player of the Year.
Bryant will suit up for Team Dick Barnett and Osborne is set to play for Team Willis Reed.
