God’s Grace
God’s grace is likened to the Holy Spirit! Grace is an enabling power! God’s Grace allows us to do what our own human nature and ability cannot do! God’s grace is far more valuable than our own means!
Grace is so powerful that it’s given us a NEW birthright! You see, when we became born again believers, we became the sons and daughters of God! That was our new identity. When there’s a new identity, there is a new birthright! God’s Grace gave us NEW rights and privileges because we were born into a particular, set apart and Holy Kingdom of God! Therefore we now are entitled to our Heavenly Father’s possessions and we can operate in his Apostolic and prophetic authority! God’s grace allows us the privilege to daily strive at mirroring the image of our Father, taking dominion here in the earth and participating in the Great Commission, which is the furthering of God’s Kingdom!
God’s grace gives us the courage and power to withstand our weaknesses and down falls! We must learn to be gentle and patient with ourselves! The grace of God gives us the ability to persevere! As I hear the word persevere, I’m reminded of an eagle who continuously soars through and above every adverse wind!
If you were to see an area filled with birds when a storm approaches, you would see two distinct reactions between an eagle and all other feathered creatures. While other birds would try to flee or hide, eagles would take off, in the direction of the dark clouds. Fearlessly, the eagle would fly into the fierce winds, using the storm current to rise higher quickly. The pressure of the storm is used to help them glide without using their energy as their wings’ unique design allows them to lock in a fixed position amid the violent storm winds.
The eagle instinctively knows it: Just past the storm, in the high heavens, there is peace and security. It is the perfect hiding place! Just like the eagles, God has given us grace to fly right through the eye of the storm without any major harm! We may get a little cut or bruise every now and then but when we totally surrender to God’s will, His grace gives us the strength to endure!
